The Sherman for Congress campaign has begun airing two ads – its first since the June primary – on Los Angeles-area cable TV.
“Valley” talks about Cong. Brad Sherman’s record of helping his San Fernando Valley constituents by fighting waste in government, protecting homeownership, improving transportation opportunities and providing new parkland. It ends by reminding voters that this same record of achievement was recognized by voters in the June primary who gave Sherman an overwhelming victory over his opponents, including a fellow congressman.
“Courage” introduces William Isaac, a former chairman of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp., who praises Sherman for his courageous leadership in fighting the TARP bank bailout plan. Isaac worked closely with Sherman in opposing the TARP bailout and is the author of Senseless Panic: How Washington Failed America about the 2008 financial meltdown.
